Miami Heat and Serbian national team forwardNikola Jovic has successfully graduated from high school in Serbia.

He shared the details of his graduation experience with Anthony Chiang of The Miami Herald, highlighting the unique timing of his achievement.

"It was right when I came from the World Cup," he revealed. "We had a big ceremony to celebrate the World Cup. The day after that, I went to school to finish. It was basically two days after the World Cup ended."

The 20-year-old had to attend his final exams in person in Europe instead of via Zoom. The rest of his classmates took the exams in the spring of 2022 when Jovic was going through draft workouts.

When asked about how he celebrated his graduation, Jovic mentioned a heartwarming family lunch.

"I had a great family lunch. I celebrated with my family," he said.

As for his diploma, Jovic now carries a digital representation of his hard-earned academic accomplishment.

"I have it on my phone," he disclosed.

Jovic recently made his mark in the world of basketball by participating in his first major FIBA event with the Serbian national team in the Philippines. He helped Nikola Jokic-less Serbia claim FIBA World Cup 2023 silver medals, averaging 10.1 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 2.6 assists over eight games (23.9 minutes).

Jovic had 9 points and 8 boards in a final loss vs. Germany.
