The Lithuanian wing expressed his excitement and the decision-making process that led him to choose the EuroLeague runners-up.
"My agents were in contact with Olympiacos for a couple of weeks," Iggy said. "I talked with a few of them [Olympiacos members] personally to find out what they expected from me. The discussions were great, it felt very warm, and it felt like a direction I needed to take in my career. I am extremely happy and blessed to be here."
However, he also acknowledged that making the decision wasn't easy due to his emotional attachment to his hometown of Kaunas.
"I definitely wouldn't say it was easy ['yes'] because leaving my hometown of Kaunas was emotional, but I hope they understand about this move. Olympiacos is just one of those teams I couldn't turn down."
Regarding his availability for the Greek Supercup in Rhodes on September 29-30, Brazdeikis indicated that he might be unable to participate.
"I'm not sure. My debut might be a little bit pushed back because I still need to head back to Kaunas to grab some things and settle down here. But I will try to debut as soon as possible," he underlined.
