Anadolu Efes Istanbul is looking to make an addition to its power forward/center rotation, according to the team's General Manager, Alper Yilmaz.

In a recent interview with Turkish sportscaster Mackolik, Anadolu Efes Istanbul General Manager Alper Yilmaz stated that the club is on the lookout for a power forward/center addition to the roster.

The Turkish GM clearly laid out the team's goal: "We do not want to make a signing just to make a signing. We are not looking to sign a player just because he is a free agent. Instead, we want a player who would change the team and have a strong positive effect."

Yilmaz gave more details about the process, revealing that Anadolu Efes are in contact with at least 3 players.

"We are in contact with three players, who all said that they were waiting for NBA offers before a final decision," Yilmaz told Mackolik. "Other players are also being offered to us every day."

"On the other hand, the coaching staff is busy with the games, so we are trying to make sure that we are not signing a player that the coach would not want," Efes GM added.

Regardless of the market search, Yilmaz remains optimistic that the roster is fit to begin the EuroLeague season.

"We can make the signing after the season starts. [Will] Clyburn can play at the power forward position, so can Tyrique [Jones]. Ercan [Osmani] is slowly finding his form. We have 7 new players, and they will need to get used to each other, to Erdem [Can] 's system," Yilmaz concluded.

Anadolu Efes will officially begin the season on 30 September, when they will host Buyukcekmece in the Turkish Basketball Super League. The team's first EuroLeague game is on 5 October at the home court of FC Barcelona.
