Rudy Gay, a 37-year-old NBA veteran and former Team USA champion, signs a one-year deal with the Golden State Warriors, aiming to contribute his experience to the team's pursuit of success in his 18th NBA season.

Free agent forward Rudy Gay has inked a one-year deal with the Golden State Warriors, as reported by ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

Gay, 37, will compete for the team's open roster spot in camp. This will be his 18th NBA season.

He's averaged 15.8 points and 5.6 rebounds in 1120 games over his career.

Gay, who played college ball at UConn, joined the NBA in 2006 and spent part of seven seasons with the Grizzlies (2006-13), part of two seasons with theToronto Raptors (2012-14), and four seasons each with the Sacramento Kings and San Antonio Spurs before joining the Utah Jazz in 2021.

His basketball journey extends beyond the NBA hardwood, as Gay represented Team USA in two FIBA World Cups, contributing to their consecutive gold medal triumphs in 2010 and 2014.
