The Spanish Basketball Federation (FEB) has announced that it has presented Valencia as a candidate to host the mini-tournament.
Six teams will participate in each of the four Olympic Qualifying Tournaments, with the two best teams from the two groups in each mini-tournament going to the semifinal round. The winner of each of the four tournaments will advance to the Paris Olympic Games.
FIBA will announce the hosts of the four mini-tournaments in November, FEB announced.
