Recovery could be anywhere from three to six weeks. Should have more info on Monday during Warriors media day," Dumas wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
According to Marc J. Spears of ESPN, Green sprained his ankle during a scrimmage when he stepped on Jonathan Kuminga's foot.
"I dodged a bullet and learned that today by the way it's (positively) reacting. Even with an MRI, you don't see the trend of it immediately. The swelling is down," Warriors forward told Marc J. Spears about his sprained left ankle.
He expects to keep him out for 4-6 weeks.
GSW's training camp begins next week. Their NBA opening night game is scheduled against the Phoenix Suns on October 24.
Green inked a four-year, $100 million contract extension in the summer.
