Addressing questions about his physical transformation, Wembanyama shared, "Ever since I have been in San Antonio, I have gained 10-15 pounds [4.5-6.8 kg]. I'm trying to stop there, not add too much too quick. We are on a good path. As I was saying, my conditioning and physical condition are way, way better than at any time before in my life, so we are good."
Before the changes, his previous weight was listed at 210 pounds, equivalent to 95 kilograms.
Wemby also acknowledged the Spurs' expertise in player development, noting that he has learned more about his body in the last three months than during the previous five years.
"The Spurs know a lot more than any of my teams before because they can run some tests more thoroughly. All of this is very technical," he said.
When asked about the biggest difference between Europe and the U.S., Wembanyama emphasized the cohesive culture within the Spurs organization.
"Back in Europe, the whole organizations -- front office, coaches, staff -- they are not as dedicated to have great ambitions long-term. Sometimes, in Europe, there are some fights between players and coaches, players and the front office. Here, everyone works in harmony, and everyone is working towards the same goal," he said.
"I know it's not the same with every franchise, but here (points up at banners), they know how to win these," Wemby added. "They've done it before, and they wanna do it again. Everyone is working toward the same goal, and it's just a beautiful harmony."
