In a special press conference, the new general manager of Zalgiris Kaunas, Paulius Jankunas, presented the team's financial numbers both for the previous year and the upcoming season.

Last year, the organization planned to have an income of €11.3 million but generated almost an additional €3 million for a total of €14.2 million. The number was significantly increased by the high ticket sales that surpassed the projection by 60%.

€2 million were earned from season ticket sales, while regular ticket sales brought in extra €4.6 million, €1.5 million of which came from one EuroLeague playoff home game against FC Barcelona.

Zalgiris spent €13.1 million last season (€8.4 million for player and coaching staff salaries). The organization spent €1.9 million to host the EuroLeague Final Four and received €1.8 million in return for a total profit of the entire season at €1 million.

This year, Zalgiris expect to have a budget of €13 million, with €2 million coming from the Kaunas municipality, €4.1 million from sponsorships and advertising, €1.9 million from TV rights, and €5 million from ticket sales.

€8.6 million will be dedicated to player and coaching staff salaries. The salary of Ignas Brazdeikis, who left the team for Olympiacos Piraeus for a buyout, was also included in the number. The club expects to break even at the end of the year.
