In the PalaDozza arena, both teams must use the same tunnel when leaving or entering the court. However, the tunnel is placed next to the most passionate Virtus fans.

The tunnel is covered in plastic material, and the Virtus fans constantly hit it, causing noise whenever the referees or Zalgiris players used it.

After the game, Zalgiris captain Edgaras Ulanovas noted that Virtus fans were also throwing objects from the stands.

"We had some complaints, as objects were flying [from the stands]," Ulanovas told BasketNews journalist Lukas Malinauskas. "We understand that the fans support their team, but there could be a little bit more security next to the tunnel. We informed the EuroLeague about it. Hopefully, there will be more security in the future."

There were a few security guards next to the tunnel who tried to calm down Virtus fans. However, when Virtus fans' discontent reached its peak straight after the loss, the security guards were not involved too much and just watched how Zalgiris players left the court.

According to the EuroLeague Disciplinary Code, the home team could be punished by a monetary fine if the fans throw objects onto the playing court.

Zalgiris players have shared their worries about safety concerns at the PalaDozza Arena, and the EuroLeague Players Association (ELPA) immediately took action by alerting the EuroLeague authorities to address these issues ahead of the upcoming games in Bologna.

Virtus play in the PalaDozza Arena due to the renovation of the Virtus Segafredo Arena.
