The player has been riddled with injuries throughout the past years. Injury recovery is stopping him from appearing on a basketball court once again.
According to Yann Ohnona from L'Equipe, the star guard will miss the first EuroLeague game against Valencia Basket.
"He is getting closer and closer to being in good shape, especially considering where he comes from with his knee problems," the club's general manager, Oleksiy Yefimov, told L'Equipe.
"We’re not going to force anything. There was such a long period between his last game and his future recovery with us that we cannot take the slightest risk," he explained. "In a case like this, with surgery on top of that, his knees aren't the only problem. You have to take care of the other muscles, the back. But we are optimistic about seeing him on the court soon and being able to play there confidently."
Walker is expected to miss several weeks of action before making his official EuroLeague debut, Ohnona notes. Kemba's debut is estimated to be either against ALBA Berlin on October 20th or against Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv on October 26th.
