Coach Ronen Ginzburg didn't guide Prometey in their game for the Latvian-Estonian Pafbet League on Friday evening. The club's president Volodymyr Dubinsky explained the reasons for the specialist's absence.

In their first away game of the season in the Latvian-Estonian Pafbet League, Prometey Slobozhanske downed Estonian club Keila Kulbet 89-74. However, coach Ronen Ginzburg wasn't sitting on the team's bench.

With a post on his Facebook page, the club's president Volodymyr Dubinsky explained the reasons for the coach's absence.

"I have received many messages asking what is the reason for the absence of head coach Neno at the game that took place yesterday in Estonia," Dubinsky wrote.

"Everything was fine yesterday, our Neno went to Israel for his son's wedding and he was supposed to join the team on Monday in Turkey. But today we all learned about the terrible event that happened in this country, about the terrible rocket attack by the Palestinian movement Hamas. Thousands of rockets fell on Israeli territory," the post read.

Prometey's owner clarified that the Israeli tactician called him on Saturday morning, informing that he's fine.

"He was in the bomb shelter, but at the moment the roads are blocked, the airports are closed, the Internet connection is problematic," he mentioned.

"Our coach is in a satisfactory mood," Dubinsky wrote. "Unfortunately, this is not the first time such terrible events have happened in Israel, but we are together, holding on and understanding everything that the Israeli people are feeling now.

Our thoughts and our hearts are with Neno and all the people of Israel now.

Let's hold on, we are in touch with Neno and will report on the state of affairs," Dubinsky's note concluded.
