Both the criminal summons and the arrest warrant have not been served yet, reports Baxter Holmes from ESPN.
The current alleged violations by the player are of a covenant reached in November 2022, when Bridges agreed to a protective order of 10 years against his former girlfriend, who had accused the player of assaulting her in front of their children.
Bridges had "pleaded no contest" as the defendant, meaning that he took on the punishments leveled by the court at him without formally admitting guilt.
Having already been served a 30-game suspension by the NBA on April 2023 and partially fulfilling this ban, Miles Bridges still has to sit out for the first 10 games of the upcoming NBA Regular Season.
According to ESPN, the NBA spokesperson was not immediately available for comment, and it is hard to see how recent developments may affect the player.
