The star point guard of the Dallas Mavericks tore into the list on his Instagram account by commenting the following on a fan page's publication:
"Who. TF. cares. I never will. Rankings don't mean a damn thing in the league, especially not from ESPN or any of these other media platforms. Majority of the analysts are not credible sources in my eyes, and I don't respect them or their opinions."
Irving was spiteful against NBA pundits in general, although the ESPN list also had positive remarks about him.
"He remains one of the NBA's most skilled and productive guards, averaging 27.1 points and 5.5 APG with a 61.3 true shooting percentage last season."
Regardless, the list also makes mention of Irving's suspension by the Brooklyn Nets, which is among the plethora of controversies the star player found himself in during recent years.
The American will continue to join forces with Luka Doncic in the upcoming NBA season.
