Brooks hit Theis in the groin while the Pacers center was setting up a screen. After the contact, the officiating crew had a review and ejected Brooks.
After the match, Brooks said that he felt it was unfair.
"I tried to navigate a screen, I might have tapped him below the waist, but, you know, he got right back up. I don't know. It's weird. Every time it happens to me, I get picked on," he said.
"I don't know," Brooks said when asked if he feels targeted by the referees. "What's the name, what's my name? The name is Dillon the Villain, so I guess."
