Caboclo thinks he can play in bigger clubs with the level of play he demonstrated. The player said changing the agents during the summer was a critical part of the decision to leave Venice without ever appearing there.

During the offseason, Bruno Caboclo signed a contract with EuroCup's Umana Reyer Venice. After the 2023 FIBA World Cup, the player changed his mind and refused to play for his new club.

In one of the weirdest sagas in recent European basketball, the Brazilian big man did not arrive in Italy and joined Maccabi Ra'anana in their NBA tour instead.Venice promised to fight the matter in court.

Since signing the contract, Caboclo changed his agent. It changed the viewpoint of the entire situation.

"Joining Ra'anana was a late decision. I changed agents, and a lot of things changed for me. This opportunity appeared, and I thought it was a good opportunity for me, and I'm here and enjoying it," he told Yoav Modai from Sport5 after the game against the Brooklyn Nets Thursday night.

"I wanted to go there. My previous agent signed a contract for me there at an early stage, but I think I can reach bigger places with the way I played," Caboclo explained. "It's nothing against Venice, but it's my career. Some people don't love it, but this is my career."

Caboclo was one of the most dominant players in the 2023 FIBA World Cup, averaging 16.4 points and 9.2 rebounds for 22 PIR. He recorded 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 blocks in 26 minutes against Brooklyn.
