There's optimism within the Panathinaikos Athens camp as they anticipate Kostas Sloukas returning for the EuroLeague Round 3 game against Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul on Tuesday.

The veteran guard is aiming to join the team practice on Monday before their trip to Turkey.

"He started individual work. I hope that on Monday he will start practicing with the team," Ergin Ataman said after the Greek league win over Peristeri, via SDNA.

Sloukas was sidelined in the EuroLeague Round 2 match against FC Bayern Munich due to a minor contusion below his left calf. Despite his absence, Panathinaikos secured a 78-71 home win.

The 33-year-old guard arranged a stellar 20-point performance in his debut EuroLeague game for PAO against Olympiacos Piraeus, but Panathinaikos faced a setback, losing 78-88 in overtime.

Looking ahead, the Greens are set to kick off the upcoming EuroLeague double-week on October 17 against Fenerbahce, followed by a game on October 20 against Maccabi at home.
