In his first two preseason games, Micic averaged 6.5 points and 5.5 assists in 21.5 minutes of playing time. Talking with the media after his debut experiences, Micic highlighted that it's easier to create plays in the NBA compared to the EuroLeague.
Thunder head coach Mark Daigneault said he felt like Micic could take advantage of the lack of a three-second defensive rule in the NBA and a more free-flowing nature of the game. The player agreed.
"It's open space, a very high pace of game compared to the EuroLeague," he started off. "The paint is more open, so there are a lot of opportunities for creative guys to reach the paint and create the advantage, especially for good ball handlers."
"It's also kind of a little bit easier to create from that spacing. For me, I'm still trying to adjust. Everything's still new for me, but my teammates help me learn as fast as I can. I think all together, we will reach it at some point," Micic concluded.
