Walker, who is coming from intense rehabilitation, is expected to hit the EuroLeague court for the first time in his career at Stark Arena.
This game holds special significance for Walker and Red Star's Shabazz Napier, former teammates at the University of Connecticut during the 2010-11 season when they secured the NCAA championship.
As earlier reported by BasketNews, Walker, the four-time NBA All-Star, has been involved in the 5-on-5 practices since last Tuesday. His body reacted positively, and Kemba traveled with the Roca Team for a EuroLeague double-round week.
Drafted No. 9 overall by then-named Charlotte Bobcats in 2011, Walker had an injury-riddled last four seasons after playing all 82 regular-season games in 2018-19. The 12-season NBA veteran last played for the Dallas Mavericks in the 2022-23 season.
Walker, 33, had a short nine-game stint in Dallas, averaging a career-low 8.0 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists on 42.1% shooting.
Monaco struggled without their star guard, falling to 0-2 in the first two EuroLeague rounds. Last week, Monaco suffered their worst-ever EuroLeague home loss with a 24-point defeat at the hands of Virtus Segafredo Bologna.
The Roca Team is gearing up to face Crvena Zvezda on the road at 20:00 CEST.
Following this game, Monaco will return home to the French Riviera to take on ALBA Berlin on Friday.
