After playing more than 400 NBA games, Langston Galloway decided to come to Europe for the first time in his career. In a conversation with BasketNews, he opened up about his decision to play in Italy, his experience with Team USA, and much more.
Credit: FIBA Credit FIBALangston Gallowayhas come a long way in his career. After going undrafted in the 2014 NBA Draft, he started his professional career in what was still the D-League, the NBA's development league (now rebranded as G League).
But his time in the development league was really short. He played for the Westchester Knicks just for a couple of months, and then he was called up to the NBA by the New York Knicks, initially with a 10-day contract.
In less than a month in New York, he secured a two-year, partially guaranteed deal with the Knicks, proving his value and showing that he belonged to the league.
By the end of the 2014-15 season, he made history, becoming the first undrafted player in Knicks history to be selected in an All-Rookie team.
In free agency in 2017, Galloway signed a three-year, $21 million deal with the Detroit Pistons, the richest contract of his career.
In August, Galloway signed a one-year contract with Italian side Pallacanestro Reggiana, a team that changed quite a bit during the offseason.
