The Serbian coach, who spent only a month of official games with the Ankara squad, currently has records of 2-2 and 1-2 in the Turkish Basketball Super League and the EuroCup, respectively.

According to sources, Canak's standing in the club weakened considerably after Turk Telekom conceded a 100 - 80 defeat to Pinar Karsiyaka in the domestic league, in a game where Karsiyaka managed to score 32 points in the second quarter.

Negotiations are currently underway for a mutual termination of the coach's contract. After this is accomplished, the club hopes to bring a Turkish coach to the helm.

The strongest name on the list right now is Selcuk Ernak, who last coached Darussafaka Lassa Istanbul between the years of 2018 and 2023.

The Ankara team will host ratiopharm Ulm on October 25 and Bahcesehir Koleji on October 28 this week in the EuroCup and the Turkish Basketball Super League.
