According to Adrian Wojnarowski from ESPN, Onyeka Okongwu agreed on a four-year $62 million deal to stay with the franchise.

Okongwu was drafted 6th overall in the 2020 NBA Draft and steadily improved in the last three seasons. Last year, he averaged 9.9 points, 7.2 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks in 23.1 minutes per game.

The 22-year-old big man earned himself the role of a key player and started 18 games last year.

Before signing the new deal, he was in the last year of his deal with the team after the organization picked up the team option in 2022.
