Harden had previously vowed that he would never play for a franchise led by Morey and the disgruntled guard kept his word by skipping the entire preseason with the Sixers following his trade demand.
However, it seems that the estranged player and the franchise might have another chance to repair what's broken after Harden has returned to the team after 10 days of absence. According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Harden has returned to Philadelphia’s facility as the Sixers prepare for practice prior to the flight to Milwaukee for [Thursday’s] opening night.
The 34-year-old guard hadn't been with the Sixers since Sunday, October 15. He skipped Monday’s shootaround and preseason game with the Brooklyn Nets. Harden had been in Houston, site of his former team, the Rockets, according to Yahoo. His restaurant, family and home are all in Houston.
