Anderson was drafted 21st in the 2015 NBA Draft by the Dallas Mavericks following a successful college stint with the University of Virginia. From 2015 to 2017 he belonged to the Mavericks also playing with the affiliated team in the G League, the Texas Legends.
He played for the Philadelphia Sixers (2017-18), Atlanta Hawks (2018-19), in the 2019/20 season he played for the Brooklyn Nets and played for the Raptors 905 development teams and the Long Island Nets (2019-20), where he teamed up with former Breogan and current Real Madrid player Dzanan Musa. In the 2021-22 season, he played in NBA with Cleveland and Indiana.
Last season, he averaged 22.9 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5 assists per game over 49 contests and 32.5% 3-point shooting in the G League.
Anderson holds averages of 5.3 points, 2.6 rebounds over 13.6 minutes of playing time over a total of 242 NBA regular season appearances.
