Simons scored 18 points, grabbed 2 rebounds, and dished out 4 assists in the game. Last season, he averaged 21.1 points, 2.6 rebounds, and 4.1 assists per game for the Blazers.
Drafted by the team in 2018, Simons has made steady improvements throughout his career with the organization. The guard had his breakout season in 2020-21 when he increased his scoring average by 9.5 points and began getting selected into the starting five.
