Over a month before the 2023-24 season began, AS Monaco's guard Jordan Loyd got seriously injured. He is now back on the basketball court.

The player underwent lumbar spine surgery in the US back in August and was projected to miss two to three months of action.

"October sometime is the goal, and we'll go from there," Loyd said about his possible return back in September. The player was right.

Loyd played his first game in multiple months, competing in the French Basketball League (LNB) against BCM Gravelines Dunkerque. He began the match in the starting five and scored 15 points on 5-for-6 shooting in 21 minutes of playing time en route to a comfortable win.

Last year in the EuroLeague, Loyd averaged 12.3 points, 2.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.3 steals for 13.4 PIR.
