Updating on the injury front, coach Mateo shared insights into Yabusele's condition, stating the following:
"Yabusele experienced a hyperextension in his knee during a training session, fortunately without any further complications," Mateo said in the press conference. "There are no fractures, and we're optimistic he'll resume training this upcoming week. His recovery is progressing well, and we look forward to welcoming him back into the 12-man rotation soon."
Addressing the prolonged absence of Carlos Alocen, who suffered a complete ACL tear in February 2022, Mateo expressed patience and cautious optimism.
"We've exercised a great deal of patience with Alocen, and that will persist. We're awaiting his assessment of how he feels and his gradual integration into the team. Once he feels ready and confident, we'll provide him the opportunity to rejoin the squad. While he's started training with contact, his well-being remains the priority, and we'll wait for his signal that he's ready for active play."
