Semi OjeleyeandValencia Baskethave been enjoying their flourishing start into the 2023-24 season. The Spanish team began the new campaign with a 10-2 record in all competitions and now ranks second in ACB and shares 2nd-5th places in the EuroLeague.

Valencia's EuroLeague start is the hottest one since their 2003-04 debut campaign, which was opened with four wins in a row. Ojeleye, one of the main contributors to this great stretch, attributes early success to the team's unity.

"For us, it is just about being together," Ojeleye toldBasketNewsafter a comfortable 87-72 EuroLeague Round 5 win in Kaunas. "We are not going to win every game, not gonna have great possessions all the time throughout the game. But for us, whether we are playing good or bad, we are together. You could see that tonight."

Ojeleye was one of the key additions to the team in the summer, alongside Brandon Davies, Damien Inglis, Nate Reuvers, Kassius Robertson, and Boubacar Toure.

Unlike the latter four names, Ojeleye is no stranger to EuroLeague basketball, having debuted with Virtus Segafredo Bologna in the 2022-23 season, and Ojeleye arrived here with some lessons learned from the last year.
