Partizan Mozzart Bet Belgrade are expected to welcome a new big man to their team. Djordje Matic of Meridian Sport was the first to report that Partizan have engaged in advanced negotiations with the Brazilian power forward Bruno Caboclo.

According to Bojan Brezovac from Mozzart Sport, both parties have already come to an agreement on a two-year contract.

For quite some time, Partizan had been actively exploring the market, seeking the right fit for their team, especially in the position under the baskets. Their quest was to find a player who could seamlessly step into the shoes of Mathias Lessort, embodying similar energy and athletic prowess.

Until recently, Caboclo had been under contract with Umana Reyer Venice. He inked this deal during the summer following his stint with Ratiopharm Ulm.

However, following his standout performance in the FIBA World Cup 2023, Caboclo opted not to join the Italian club during the preseason. This decision came even at the expense of a potential suspension. In the meantime, he maintained his form by engaging in friendly matches with Maccabi Ra'anana in the USA.

Caboclo's name had surfaced in connection with Partizan during this past summer. However, negotiations were not pursued at that time, as the Serbian club was reluctant to engage with the player's agent due to his existing contract with Venezia.
