First, Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade looked to earn their first win in the tournament after a coaching change that brought in Ioannis Sfairopoulos. The Serbian team welcomed FC Bayern Munich in the Stark Arena.
After a rough start for both teams, the guests held a lead throughout the majority of the game, but Crvena Zvezda battled back and earned their second victory in the tournament and a first for Sfairopoulos.
Next, a battle of two EuroLeague giants came as Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul hosted Olympiacos Piraeus. Fenerbahce almost wasted a huge lead in the second half, but ultimately went on to win the match. However, Olympiacos claim that there was a foul during the last possession that went unnoticed.
Just 15 minutes later, a match in Lithuania started where Zalgiris Kaunas faced off against LDLC ASVEL Villeurbanne. It was head coach Gianmarco Pozzecco's second game in the EuroLeague for the French team.
Despite trailing for the vast majority of the game, ASVEL pulled out a surprise victory in the last minutes, shocking the home crowd in Lithuania.
Later in the evening, EA7 Emporio Armani Milan welcomed AS Monaco. Mike James hit a clutch triple with half a minute remaining in the game, and the Italian squad suffered already their fifth loss this season in the first six rounds.
To finish the day, Valencia Basket looked to improve on their unexpected start by playing against ALBA Berlin. In a tight 40-minute battle, the home team ultimately came out on top and improved its record to a surprising 5-1.
