In a flurry of turnovers and forced shots, AS Monaco (4-2) survived a night in Milan to triumph against EA7 Emporio Armani Milan (1-5) 72-66 (18-13, 19-22, 11-17, 18-20).

Game-wise, no other team was particularly superior to the other after 3 quarters of play, with Monaco being up by only 4 points before the start of the fourth quarter.

Throughout the game, both teams were far away from their usual offensive intensity, committing turnovers and being forced to take difficult shots.

The fourth quarter went neck to neck, as the Italian team never trailed by more than 4 points, but they were never able to tie the score or get ahead of the Monagesque squad.

Mike James sunk the most crucial shot of the game with 14 seconds left, extending Monaco's lead to 4 points (70-66).

Maodo Lo carried the ball to Monaco's half-court but held onto it a little too much and committed a turnover, which was turned into an empathic dunk by Jaron Blossomgame, which decided the final score of the game (66-72).

Once again, Mike James was sensational for Monaco, sinking very crucial, often difficult shots to finish the game with 21 points and 5 rebounds.

On the other hand, Monaco's players practiced great defense, keeping Olimpia Milano to below 30 points in the second half.

On the losing side, Shavon Shields had the most points contribution with 17 but had an overall inefficient night with 6 turnovers. For his part, Nikola Mirotic had 17 PIR but only scored 9 points. Milano's woes continue as they are now among the worst teams in the competition by their record.

Olimpia Milano: Shields 17, Hall 15, Mirotic 9 (9 REB).

Monaco: James 21, Diallo 13, Blossomgame 8.
