Olympiacos claim that Yam Madar clearly fouled Nigel Williams-Goss in the last possession, which the replay confirms. It would've sent the player to the free-throw line with a chance to tie the game.

Nigel Williams-Goss had a chance to take the game between Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul and Olympiacos Piraeus to overtime, but his shot was no good. The guests now claim that a refereeing mistake caused the loss.

Olympiacos have officially filed a protest for the game.

"KAE Olympiacos calls on the EuroLeague to take a clear position on the foul on Nigel Williams-Goss in the last phase of the match against Fenerbahce. The incorrect application of the regulations by the referees decided the match against us," the organization's official statement claims.

"It was a tough game. In the end, some crucial decisions from both sides decided the game," Olympiacos head coach Georgios Bartzokas said in the post-game press conference.

His assistant coach, Georgios Bozikas, was more direct with his remarks.

"I definitely believe that the refereeing also played its part," he said, talking with NOVA television after the game. "The late-stage foul on Williams-Goss was clear. It also played her role."

When Williams-Goss was driving to the basket with just several seconds left on the clock, Yam Madar initially seemed to have poked the ball out of the Olympiacos guard's hands. However, the replay showed that Madar made forcible contact with Williams-Goss' forearm, causing the player to lose the ball.

At the time, Williams-Goss was 3/3 from the free-throw line, and the club believes it was stripped away of a chance to tie the game, the Greek media reports.

Olympiacos also claim that a foul by Moustapha Fall that sent Tyler Dorsey to the line to shoot three shots near the end of the third quarter did not occur. The replay showed that Fall landed in the legal empty zone, while Dorsey kicked his legs out and landed on top of Fall to cause the call.
