Green said that his rim touch did not affect the shot, while at the same time Giddey had pulled the net - that's why the initial call of an offensive goaltending was overturned.

Stephen Curry hit a game-winning layup that was initially ruled an offensive goaltending but overturned later. Draymond Green, who was in the middle of the action during the episode, explained what happened after the game.

With the score tied at 139, Curry drove past Lu Dort and floated a layup over Chet Holmgren's outstretched arms. When it seemed like Curry won the game, the shot was waived off.

The initial call was that Draymond Green interfered with the basket by touching the rim, and the points were not given to the Golden State Warriors. However, a lengthy review determined that Oklahoma City Thunder's Josh Giddey pulled the net before Green's touch, and it was ruled a defensive goaltending, giving the points to Curry.

"My perspective was that my hand touched the rim. It looked like the ball was about to pop out, so I was going to get a putback. When I jumped to get the putback, Giddey went back into my legs, so it kind of brought my hand down, and it hit the rim," Green said in the post-game press conference. "Hitting a rim is not a goaltending, so I didn't affect the shot, and we won."

"I also saw Giddey had pulled the net as well. It was some confusion. [Referee] Che [Flores] has said if he touched the net and it did not affect the ball, it's not goaltending. And Che said that if I touched the rim and I did not affect the ball, it wasn't goaltending. I knew I didn't affect the ball, so I thought it was good," Green explained.

The narrow victory marked the first Golden State's win in the new In-Season Tournament.
