The man, originally from Montenegro, did not return with his fellow Partizan fans. He was brought to court on Saturday, where he got punished for his acts during the match.

The fan was fined and got his passport taken away for the next three years as a punishment for an action classified as sexual assault. The National Police issued a safe conduct permit for the man to return to Serbia, El Correo reports.

During the fourth quarter, two fans of the visiting team kicked the fence of one of the fan sections of the Fernando Buesa Arena and several seats, some of them being seriously damaged.

The local security took action and tried to take the two fans away. During the conflict between the two sides, one of the fans suddenly approached one of the security guards who was trying to manage the situation and kissed her on two occasions, El Correo writes.

The man was detained and kept in a local police station. He accepted a quick trial, and a judge convicted him of sexual assault on Saturday.

Before the game, multiple Partizan fans tried to access the venue before the gates officially opened, as they tried to enter the arena using the entrances dedicated to team staff and players. After the game, Chima Moneke, who hit the game-winning free throws, received racial abuse online from Partizan fans.
