FC Bayern Munich's forward Vladimir Lucic has been dealing with multiple injuries throughout the past several years. The Serbian hasn't played a single game this season yet, but his return to the court is slowly coming to fruition.

Lucic injured his left hand during a German Basketball League (BBL) game last April. The player needed surgery and missed the 2023 FIBA World Cup.

Although head coach Pablo Laso expected Lucic to start practicing at the end of September, the 34-year-old forward hasn't been back on the court yet.

"Lucic is already practicing. He's still by himself, he didn't get with the team. He's much better with his injury, and we hope to have him back as soon as possible. I'd love to tell you that he's going to be back for the next game, he will not," Laso told the media after the last EuroLeague game against Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade.

"I think maybe he will need a couple of weeks. In our schedule, it might be five [to] six games, so you never know. But he's much better. For example, yesterday, he was practicing, shooting the ball, and everything," Laso detailed. "He still needs some time to get into the rhythm with the team. I think he is a player that we really need, and we expect a lot from him."
