The no. 1 of the 2023 NBA Draft, Victor Wembanyama, met up with Tom Brady, legendary quarterback player from the NFL.

Victor Wembanyama from the San Antonio Spurs shared positive impressions from his meeting with Tom Brady, a legendary quarterback player from the NFL, during a dinner in New York City.

The dinner coincided with Wembanyama's first game in the Madison Square Garden, the home of the New York Knicks, reports The Athletic.

The young player from France shared nothing but positive comments on one of the USA's most well-known athletes, who retired last year after 22 years of professional American football.

"I really liked the vibe from him, very humble and interesting, but also interested [in other people],” said Wembanyama of Brady. "It feels really good to see successful but happy people," Wembanyama proceeded to speak highly of the football player. "He just looks like he is happy with the life he’s got, and he makes other people around happy," he concluded.

A fan of European soccer, Wembanyama told the media that he was also trying to get himself acquainted with American football.

"I know Tom Brady," he stated at the least.

Victor Wembanyama and the San Antonio Spurs will be hosted by the New York Knicks on 9 November, with both teams having a record of 3-4.
