Excitement for the arrival of Victor Wembanyama, one of the most major European prospects in basketball in recent years, has driven up ticket prices for the San Antonio Spurs games.

According to Bookies.com, the cost of "attending an NBA game" for a family includes four of the cheapest tickets, four hot dogs, two 16 oz. (≈ 473 ml) beers, two 20 oz. (≈ 591 ml) sodas and a parking spot is, on average, $304.64.

The cost to attend a San Antonio Spurs game as a family is currently $208.50, which is a lot less than the average, but it is still up considerably from last year.

Particularly, ticket prices for Spurs games have skyrocketed: last year, a game between the New York Knicks and the San Antonio Spurs cost $98.

The cheapest seat for the latest Knicks-Spurs game in Madison Square Garden (MSG) cost a whopping $250, reflecting more than a 155% price rise.

It is not a coincidence that the Spurs are facing off against the Knicks in this expensive game, seeing that the New York team has the most expensive package out of all NBA teams, with families having to spend an incredible $745.18 to attend Knicks games in MSG.

For its part, the latest Knicks-Spurs game might not have been able to satisfy Wembanyama fans, as the French youngster only scored 14 points on 29% field-goal shooting in a blowout loss of 126-105 against the New York squad.
