Messina said Milan was looking for a facilitator, a creator-type player who can also stand his ground defensively, but admitted that the current free agency market doesn't offer much options.

Before Thursday's game against Valencia Basket, EA7 Emporio Armani Milan had lost four games in a row in the EuroLeague. However, the Italian team comfortably marched to a win at home.

After the match, Milan's head coach, Ettore Messina, shared his perspective on a matter that's concerning the organization right now - the search for a new player.

Although healthy, Kevin Pangos did not play in the third game in a row. The team is currently looking for a creator, but the coach admits that it's not easy.

"Just like [Olympiacos Piraeus] coach [Georgios] Bartzokas said recently, we can't simply add a player just for the sake of it, it has to be someone who provides the qualities that we need. The market doesn't offer much as of right now. We're monitoring a couple of situations, but they're not simple," Messina said.

"We're looking for a player who can be a facilitator, someone with size and who can play good defense," the coach shared. "We already have players who can finish, so if we find someone who can be a facilitator and who can hold his ground defensively, I think he might give us more serenity."

Bartzokas had said earlier in the week that Olympiacos were looking for a player, but they'd take one only if they saw an immediate impact that the newcomer could bring.
