Kelly Oubre Jr. to miss significant playing time following a car accident.

76ers guard Kelly Oubre Jr. has been released from a Philadelphia hospital after being treated on Saturday night for injuries sustained when he was struck by a car in Center City, according to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

The 27-year-old Oubre, who had been in stable condition with undisclosed injuries, will miss a significant amount of playing time, but the team confirmed he won't be out for the rest of the season.

Representatives from the 76ers, including president Daryl Morey, were present at the hospital.

Oubre was walking near his downtown Philadelphia residence when the incident occurred. The Sixers revealed that an active investigation is underway by the police.

Oubre, who joined the Sixers from the Charlotte Hornets on a one-year deal in September, has been a key contributor, averaging 16.3 points while shooting 50% from the field this season for Philadelphia.
