Portland's rising star Scoot Henderson sidelined by an ankle injury, which he suffered on November 1.

Portland Trail Blazers rookie guard Scoot Henderson will be sidelined for at least the next two to three weeks due to a combination of bone bruising and a right ankle sprain, as revealed by an MRI conducted on Saturday.

Henderson, who has sat out the team's last three games, sustained the ankle injury on November 1 during a 110-101 victory over the Detroit Pistons, forcing him to exit the game prematurely.

As the third overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft, Henderson has been contributing an average of 8.8 points, 2.2 rebounds, and 4.6 assists in the five games he has played this season.

In addition to Henderson's setback, the Trail Blazers announced on Friday that center Robert Williams III will undergo surgery to address ligament damage in his right knee, sidelining him for the rest of the season.
