Hornets head coach Steve Clifford said Bridges has been a perfect worker and will get plenty of playing time partly because of what he did two years ago before the domestic violence case.

Charlotte Hornets forward Miles Bridges has been suspended for 30 games by the NBA. The player is now set to return to the basketball court on Friday, November 17th.

Bridges missed the entire 2022-23 NBA season due to a domestic violence case. The 25-year-old attacked his former girlfriend, the mother of his children, and was arrested for it in June 2022.

The player was later released with a $30,000 bond and was charged with three felony counts, to which he pleaded not guilty. In November 2022, he was sentenced to three years of probation.

In October 2023, Bridges turned himself in after violating a protective order against the woman he previously attacked. He was released on a $1000 bond.

Despite legal troubles, Bridges is set to have a significant role when he's back on the basketball court, head coach Steve Clifford said.

"The big thing for me obviously is two years ago, he was the high scorer, high rebounder. Since he's been here, he's had great attitude, perfect worker, he's a great teammate, and he's a really, really good player. He's gotten himself in good shape, and he'll play right away," Clifford explained.

"If you’re around him every day, he’s a team-first guy," the coach continued. "They love him. They love having him around, the way he practiced, the way he works, the way he interacts with everybody."

Bridges averaged 20.2 points, 7 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per game during the 2021-22 NBA season.
