Daniel Theis and the Indiana Pacers are in serious talks on a contract buyout, which would clear the way for the veteran big man to sign with the Los Angeles Clippers pending a physical exam, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic.

The 31-year-old Theis has seen limited action with the Pacers this season, featuring in just one game and contributing 2 points in 8 minutes.

Despite the current circumstances, Theis remains a proven and reliable NBA rotation big man, showcasing his skills this past summer by playing a key role in Germany's gold medal triumph at the FIBA World Cup 2023.

"Obviously, after a great summer, I'm not happy with the situation I'm in right now," the player recently told NBC Sports.

Theis faced setbacks last season due to a knee injury, limiting his participation to just seven games. However, he demonstrated his readiness for an expanded role, averaging over 20 minutes and 10.9 points per game for Germany.
