The unfriendly air behind the two men dates back to 2014, when Jackson, as head coach, fired Erman from his assistant coach position while the two were in the Golden State Warriors.
The Post notes that neither Jackson nor the Knicks organization commented on the situation after the firing.
Initially, the Knicks had planned to have Jackson sometimes replace Clyde Frazier in the MSG Network, but this plan will ultimately not come to fruition.
