Paul George received a $35,000 fine from the NBA for publicly criticizing referees, claiming that the Clippers played against "extra three" vs. the Bulls.

Los Angeles Clippers forward Paul George has been fined $35,000 for public criticism of the officiating, it was announced today by Joe Dumars, Executive Vice President, Head of Basketball Operations.

The fine amount is based in part on George's history of public criticism of the officiating.

George made his comments to the media following the Clippers' 111-108 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Nov. 14 at Ball Arena.

"I thought we played great. It's tough, the adversity of playing against the extra three," George said. "I thought they were awful, but, the defending champs, we've got to play better.

"So many times I got hit on layups, 3-pointers. It was constant. Jump shots, getting hit, smacked on the forearm. It was a poor job."
