He's arguably most well-known for the infamous incident of Malice at the Palace in Detroit, when multiple players got into a fight, with Indiana Pacers' Artest going after one of the spectators in the crowd.
Sandiford-Artest is not working in basketball at the moment. Instead, he recently participated in the popular TV show Masked Singer. After being unmasked, the player later agreed to talk about Draymond Green, who he was mistaken for in the show by the judges.
"Well, I want to talk to Draymond to make sure he's ok. He's an energized player. This is something that I didn't expect from Draymond," he told Mick Joest from CinemaBlend. "If you look at my career and you look at Draymond's career, he’s got four rings, and he was always able to keep his energy under wraps. This is really surprising to me."
"I would prefer to speak to Draymond to check on him, so hopefully, one day, he can reach out to me because his career is going very well. Even though he has a lot of energy, it can come across as negative sometimes. It never really affected his winning, right? So to see him kind of overreact, such as I have overreacted at times in my career, it's just a thing where you want to reach out to a player. So I hope that I can actually chat with him and just see where his mind is at and stuff like that," Artest said.
Sandiford-Artest spent 17 seasons in the NBA. He won the NBA Championship with the Los Angeles Lakers in 2010 and was also named an All-Star in 2004 while playing for the Pacers.
Draymond Green got suspended for his acts for five games.
