The player is suffering from a low back strain. After additional tests and consultations, it was determined that the player would continue his rehab instead of trying to get back on the court.
Beal got traded from the Washington Wizards to the Suns during the last offseason in exchange for Chris Paul, Landry Shamet, several second-round picks, and multiple pick swaps.
In three games for the Suns this season, Beal averaged 17.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists per game. With five wins and six losses, the Suns are currently 9th in the Western Conference.
