Talking after the game, the player said he's adjusting not only to the new style of play and a new league, but also to a different way of life.
"It's definitely an adjustment - for my sleep, for my routine. It's been tough, but I'm figuring it out. Every day, it's getting better," Nunn said post-game during the Novasports Playmakers show. "I'm trying to get some sleep at night. The hours are much different. Just day-to-day living and practicing with my team. As far as the game, I'm trying to gel with my teammates, to figure out the style of play. It's a lot more physical and more congested on the floor. It feels like a playoff game every game."
Despite his success in the last game, Nunn hasn't hit a single three-pointer in Europe yet, missing all ten shots in the EuroLeague and both triples in the Greek League. Asked where his shot had gone, Nunn had to laugh it off.
"I don't know (laughs). I don't have that part of my game down yet. But it will slowly come, for sure," he said.
The OAKA arena had 13852 in attendance for the game against Virtus - the biggest number in Nunn's Panathinaikos career so far. The crowd got going during multiple episodes of the game, especially when the home team started pulling away in the fourth quarter.
"It's definitely a different experience than the US. I started off on the road. I just try to pick up things pretty quick. I started off very slow with limited minutes. Being here now and playing extended minutes got me a lot more comfortable with my game, and my confidence is just building," Nunn shared. "Some parts of my game still I haven't brought. Hopefully, I can call and get them sent them back."
"Fans were very loud today. It's probably the best arena I've ever played in so far. It's an amazing atmosphere," the player said.
Nunn can't name all his teammates yet, but he admits that everyone has been really helpful throughout his adjustment period.
"I wish I could give you their names, but I don't know them yet," Nunn said. "Everyone's been a big help in my adjustment, from players to the coaching staff."
Despite his relative struggles on the court, Nunn was happy to be in Greece.
"I haven't picked up on the language. Thank God, everyone speaks English, and the food is amazing," he concluded.
