Alex Abrines takes jab at Jasikevicius' methods at Barca / News - Basketnews.com
Alex Abrines didn't particularly like the way former FC Barcelona coach Sarunas Jasikevicius was treating his players. "When you have a guy who is yelling at you from Monday to Saturday, eventually you get tired and stop doing things," he said.

"Going from Saras, who is more expressive and shouts more, to Roger is a transition I obviously like. You don't expect it and it is difficult to react after three years of Saras and one of (Svetislav) Pesic," Abrines argued.
In a recent conversation with Jijantes, Abrines made the same comparison. It is no secret the demands and manners that the Lithuanian coach had in the Barca locker room didn't go down with a good number of players. In fact, he openly said that Grimau's style is better.
"Saras was a guy who demanded a lot, very intense and who lived basketball a lot," Abrines told the podcast.
"[Svetislav] Pesic also had that Yugoslav gene of pushing hard, shouting a lot," he recalled.
"In the end, they are ways of practicing. We can give our opinion, but we must adapt. They are different types of coaches whose word matters. You have to get used to it and move forward. Others, like Roger, look more for the opinion of the players and that's not just a technical decision," the 30-year-old guard-forward explained.
Abrines has also acknowledged that he feels more comfortable with his new coach.
«As far as I can think, with the circle of players I am closest to, even if they are outside the club, it's better, more bearable. With the season being so long and so many games to play, if you have a guy who is yelling at you from Monday to Saturday, eventually you get tired and stop doing things," he admitted.
"Because the instructions enter you through one ear and come out the other. There has to be a little bit of everything. Even Grimau, who gave us trouble today. When you have to be good, you have to be good. But when the team doesn't work, they have to stand firm and give us a wake-up call," the Spanish international said.
