Vasilije Micic was perhaps one of the best point guards of recent European history, accumulating two EuroLeague championships, a EuroLeague MVP award, and two EuroLeague Final Four MVP awards, among other accolades under the Anadolu Efes Istanbul jersey.

The Serbian has made the long-awaited jump to the NBA this past summer after many seasons of rumors. Playing for the Oklahoma City Thunder, he started his NBA journey.

How does he find the new league?

"It's different," Micic said, speaking to TalkBasket. "When you have these back-to-back games, it's really hard. I don’t know how these guys are managing that," he asked curiously, referring to his OKC teammates.

The schedule in the NBA is a lot different than in the EuroLeague, with back-to-back games being commonplace due to the 82-game regular season that the NBA has in comparison to the EuroLeague's 34 games in one regular season.

"I’m still recovering from the trip from Portland," said the point guard.

Micic also talked about how he is trying to learn to practice less, thanks to a busier schedule.

"There are a lot of video sessions that you have to really take lessons from. That's what I’ve learned here."

Regardless of lacking practice sessions, the former EuroLeague MVP also stressed that he needed to continue keeping alive his workout habits.

"I have some habits from [the] past that I need to keep maintaining doing them, and that's one of them, working out," he concluded.

The Oklahoma City Thunder guard is averaging 3.6 points and 2.9 assists in 12.4 minutes across 7 games so far in his first season in the NBA.
