The Slovenian superstar exhibited a stellar performance, recording 41 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists while maintaining zero turnovers.

In addition, Doncic sealed the game with a decisive skyhook, extending the Mavericks' lead to 7 points (115-108) with just over a minute remaining.

Before executing the game-clinching bucket, Doncic shared his pre-shot thoughts after the game.

"I am gonna make it," Doncic shared his mentality. "I am two for two in my career on the hooks. The other one was against Sweden with the [Slovenian] national team. But this one was better."

Post-game, Doncic also took a moment to address his defensive improvements, emphasizing that despite the lack of widespread acknowledgment, he feels a positive shift.

"I think I've been very good defensively," he underlined. "I know people are not going to say that, but my team knows it, coaches know it. I think we're improving, not just me but as a team, too. I'm glad."

When asked about the specific areas of defensive growth, Doncic expressed the following:

"Just all of it: energy, reading the game, IQ got to be there too. I'm just using more hands and more energy."

Lastly, Doncic communicated his enjoyment in facing off against Dillon Brooks, a player often regarded as a perpetual villain due to his in-game antics.

"I love playing against him," Luka stressed. "I always say I respect him so much for what he does. We were laughing together, too, so it's always fun."
