Brown said the current Maccabi's head coach, Oded Kattash, was the most influential on his progress for allowing him to lead a team. The player doesn't want to return to the NBA anymore, citing his age and change in basketball style in the league.

Lorenzo Brown spent five seasons in the NBA before arriving to play in Europe. Now with Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv, he pursues the EuroLeague Final Four.

Prior to landing in Israel, Brown played for Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade, Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul, and UNICS Kazan. However, he feels the most comfortable in Maccabi, he says.

"Since the season in Crvena Zvezda, I've changed a lot mentally. I learned a lot more about basketball through my experience in Europe. I came from the G League and the NBA, where it's a completely different game. Over the years, I adapted to the European style of basketball, I began to take more responsibility for my mistakes and learn from them to become the player I am today," he said in an interview with Konstantin Mladjenovic from Basketball Sphere.

Brown blossomed playing for UNICS under coach Velimir Perasovic, who tasked him with leading the team following a disappointing year with Fenerbahce. In Maccabi, he has the same role but in a bigger and more influential club.

Asked to name the most influential coach in his career, Brown named Oded Kattash, the current head coach of Maccabi.

"Now I'd say that probably coach Oded had the most influence on my progress. He gave me the opportunity to play my game and lead the team. It's something I know how to do best," the player said.

Being 33 years old, will he ever come back to the NBA? Brown says no.

"NBA is not even on my mind. I entered the late basketball years, I think that the NBA league is more adapted to young players, especially nowadays when the game is played at an increasingly fast pace. I'm focused on Europe to see how I can still improve and help my team," Brown concluded.
